Chapter 1
Memories were supposed to play in your head while you slept. It was supposed to be a restful time for your body to rejuvenate for the next episode of your life. Each day was meant to be a sequence of good intentions, and sleep happened to be one of the necessities of your species.
Humans always needed to sleep. It was merely a basic instinct that kept you alive. Also, it was the only time that being in the darkness with your eyelids closed was considered a peaceful event.
You were not in your regular sleeping state, and that made you annoyed. You wanted to sleep so that the next day would start up, and continue on in your life. It wasn't necessarily boring, but it had its moments when you became frustrated because you felt deprived of an adventurous life.
You preferred to stay at home and tend to your daily needs and keep yourself busy. The point was to make sure to live a simple life without drama or issues regarding anyone in society...the life of an introvert. It was almost unheard of in your town. Normally, trainers were loud and eccentric. They were destined to die early from over exhaustion, starvation, or attacked by wild animals when on their adventures.
Those were the trainers you were debating on. They were not very knowledgeable when they began their journey. You knew better than to think that Pokemon were just pets that people could use as they please. This kept you wanting to live a simple life, so why not have a simple Pokemon?
You were proud to admit that you have a pet Magikarp. It was rather quiet with its large orange scaled fish body, and only demanded water and some bits of food within its water tank. That was nice, not having the little creature bother and tackle you for things.
Thinking about your pet fish made you lonely, because he was not in your dream at the time.
You stared at a table that presented itself in front of you. It was over decorated with pink and blue shades of ribbons, and you witnessed tea pots and other kitchenware presented. There was no one else in your environment, and that made the dream even odder.
"What a waste," you said aloud, with your quiet gaze studying the rather elaborate decorating of a fine wooden table. You took pleasure in small things like these, but with it being a dream you were taking note how to further remember these decorations when you woke up.
After a silent moment, you noticed a rather dark figure seated from across the table. It startled you. Your feet met with the leg of the table and you growled in pain. You thought about the leg of the table and how it actually hurt you.
"You do realize that the thoughts you make will affect the outcome, right?" You heard a deep masculine voice, which vibrated like drumbeat in your ears.
"Who are you?" You asked the stranger, who made a chuckle at you.
"Darkrai," he said, and his dark shimmering form took a rather humanoid shape. His arms appeared in similar design to your own, and the white mist that grew past his head settled into long fine silver hair. His black ghostly body claimed a dark colored outfit, and it was then you realized that he looked rather attractive with this change.
"Why do you look human?" You asked Darkrai, noticing a blush appear on your cheeks.
"Because I can," he grinned at you with pale blue eyes, "and you're staring at me."
You turned your head away and he laughed at your response. It was rather strange how you were sitting at a table with a ghost shifting into a human form.
"Why are you here?" You continued to interrogate him.
Darkrai yawned before setting his feet on the table with a rebellious bored look, "Because I can."
Your eyes widened when his feet touched the kitchenware on the table, and you shrieked angrily at him, got up, and slapped him in the face.
"Have you no manners? You disgusting fool! Keep your feet off the damn table before I skin you!" You screeched.
He looked surprised, and his startled expression turned into one of amusement with your red mark still present on his face.
"You're a violent little thing, aren't you?" He said.
You scoffed at him before replying, "Well, let's see, I'm just a small town girl. I live a simple life. I have a Magikarp. I don't need fools like you interrupting my sleep."
"You're very obsessive and particular," Darkrai commented, while looking slightly uneasy.
"Yes, I am." You said and glared at him, "I'm going to teach you some damn manners!"
He didn't respond to your threats immediately. Darkrai yelped when you kicked him in the legs, and he grumbled angrily at you.
"This is MY dream!" You yelled at him, "That means hygiene!"
Your hands found themselves on his broad shoulders. He smelled like a guy, not a ghost.
You imagined a sponge appearing in your hand.
"A stinky human!" You yelled at him, almost abusively.
He wasn't very happy about your psychotic break, as your calm demeanor suddenly became violent and his body was stomped to the floor.
"I'm supposed to have control of dreams!" Yelled Darkrai, who looked rather terrified with the crazed glint in your eyes.
"Not mine," you said sweetly, and your Magikarp suddenly appeared in his fishing bowel.
You cooed your small Magikarp, and the fish made bubbles at you.
Darkrai looked very nervous, for he was certain that he found a weak target to bother and feed off of their dreams. It so happened that your dreams were in fact dangerous.
"So you do this to other women?" You said to him, with a mighty sponge and your Magikarp in the other hand.
Darkrai shrugged at you, "Yes..."
You were annoyed by his lack of character, "The nerve! The one time that an attractive man actually talks to me, he sticks his feet on the damn table, and he has never showered!"
"I'm not a human!" He said, and noticed that his armpits were indeed a little sweaty, "Why the hell would you dream about this stuff?"
"Is it hard to ask for a nice mannered, well showered man?" You sighed, and remembered previously how young and old men tried to greet you by placing their stinky arms around you.
"I realized I don't need a man," you said to yourself. Obviously you dreamed a lot about relationships that never worked out. The dream you were in was probably supposed to be a date. It just so happened that was when Darkrai popped in.
You placed your fish on the floor.
"Magi!" You cooed the name of your Magikarp, "Evolve for me please!"
Your Magikarp then evolved, and instead of your lovely easygoing fish, a very angry water Dragon took his place.
Magi roared angrily at Darkrai, and then the water dragon spoke to you.
"What is it that you desire, my lady?" Said the Gyaradoes.
You nodded your head, and the Darkrai looked at the water dragon in bewilderment.
"You see? Even a large, beastly creature like a Gyaradoes can have manners. Also, he always smells nice, like the fresh scent of ocean waves..." You trailed off.
Magi looked at you, as well as the rather disturbed Darkrai.
"Aqua Tail!" You called for Magi to use his newly found abilities. The well mannered Gyaradoes snarled at Darkrai and rinsed the smelly ghost off with a slam of his tail.
"Enough!" Darkrai roared, and converted into his true form, "You've made me angry, mortal!"
Another tail slap from Magi pushed the annoyed ghost to the ground.
"I think it's time to get you cleaned up!" You said.
Darkrai held his hands forward, "I end your nightmare human! Leave me alone!"
His hands forced you to regain consciousness, and it was then at you realized that it was truly a nightmare, for Darkrai, that is.
You looked over in the corner of your very large living room, where you fell asleep after setting your table up for lunch. In the corner, you noticed a young Gyaradoes holding a black ghost within its grasp.
"What would you have me do with the foul beast my lady?" Magi asked gently.
You smiled, having realized that your Magikarp evolved while you slept, and caught your nightmare.
"Let's give him a welcome thrashing." You said, rather eagerly. Darkrai struggled in Magi's tight grip.
"Your temper! It is worse than that of all the Gyaradoes in the sea!" Darkrai shrieked.
"I'm a woman." You said, "I appreciate the fact that you complimented me so. My newly evolved Gyaradoes knows that he could not match my rage for smelly men."
Darkrai then began to pray for his survival, for the stinky black ghost has never been introduced to the hygiene treatment that you spoke of, and that was probably what set you off in your nightmare.

I was simply minding my own business, wandering around the base of the Yggdrasil Tree. It was my duty to protect the soil, to keep it preserved and lively.
"You ever get tired just prancing around day and night, Xerneas?" Looking up, I saw large black and red wings come into view. Then I narrowed me eyes as Yveltal appeared before me, his blue eyes reflecting some degree of smugness.
"Don't you have things to destroy, birdie?" I huffed, turning around.
"Well, you'll just bring them back anyway, wouldn't you?" Yveltal flew over, blocking my way as his face became merely inches from mine. "Because you claim that you're "doing good". But the
